Build research‑driven personas directly from your survey data. Generate detailed profiles of your audience segments with AI, then refine, edit, and explore them further.

Why personas?

Every company talks about personas, but too often, these profiles reflect internal assumptions rather than real consumer behavior.

  • Traditional personas are often based on opinions, not evidence.

  • Many AI persona tools use biased or incomplete training data. They may sound convincing, but they miss the real picture.

That’s why Standard Insights personas are different: they are generated from your survey data, not external sources.


How it works

  1. In your project, click “+” → Add Tab → Persona.

  2. Choose Create from Scratch or Create with AI.

    • From Scratch: build manually.

    • With AI: generate from your survey data.

  3. If you select AI Generation, you’ll be asked to:

    • Select the survey source and analysis language.

    • Apply filters to define the segment (e.g. exclude men, target specific age ranges, or filter by questionnaire responses).

    • Add any short description or extra info.

  4. Click Generate Profile — AI will create a complete persona page.


What’s included in a persona?

Each generated persona contains:

  • Profile picture & description

  • Demographics (age, gender, occupation, location)

  • Interests & attitudes

  • Consumer behaviors (brand discovery, product trial, online engagement)

  • Actionable recommendations

  • Survey representation box:

    • Sample size (e.g. 271 respondents)

    • % of total respondents represented

    • Filters/criteria applied to build the segment


Editing and refining personas

  • All content is editable — refine text, add notes, or overwrite sections.

  • Combine survey‑based insights with your internal expertise and other data sources.

  • Chat with the persona: ask deeper questions and explore behaviors conversationally.

  • Create multiple personas to cover different segments of your industry or project.


Best practices

  • Base on evidence, not assumptions: survey filters ensure your persona is grounded in reality.

  • Limit personas per project: focus on your key segments rather than trying to cover every possibility.

  • Use as a living document: update personas as new survey waves come in.

  • Combine with business context: make them practical for strategy, marketing, or product design.


Availability: AI Personas are a Pro feature. Manual persona creation is available on all plans.
