The Copy Survey option lets you repurpose an existing questionnaire. You can start from a ready‑made template or paste your own questions in a simple text format.
Step 1: Select “Copy an Existing Survey”
From your dashboard:
Click Create a Survey.
Select Copy an Existing Survey.
Step 2: Choose a template or paste your own survey
On the copy page you’ll see two options:
Use a template → Pre‑made examples like Pet Survey, Sports Survey, Tech Survey, or E‑commerce Survey.
Click on a template to load it into the text field.
This gives you a starting structure you can later edit in the builder.
Paste your own survey → If you already have survey text (for example from Word or email), paste it into the box.
Separate each question with a blank line.
Specify the Question Type and any relevant options.
Step 3: Follow the correct format
Each question must be written in a standard structure so the system can recognize it. Here’s the format:
Basic rules
Every question starts on a new line
Add
Question Type:to define its type (e.g., Multiple Choice, Scale, Slider)Put each choice or option on its own line
Use a blank line to separate different questions
Example (Pet Survey snippet):
What type of pet do you have?
Question Type: Multiple Choice
Choices:
Dog
Cat
Bird
Fish
Other
How much do you love your pet?
Question Type: Scale
Scale Range:
Min: Not at all
Max: Totally
Steps: 10
💡 Tip: Templates are a great way to check the format and supported question types.
Step 4: Preview your questions
When you click Generate Survey Now, you’ll see a Questions Preview panel on the right. Here you can:
Review how each question is detected (e.g. Multiple Choice, Scale)
Select/unselect which questions to keep
Preview the answer options for each question
📘 Note: You cannot edit question text here — editing happens later in the builder.
Step 5: Finalize in the builder
Once you’re satisfied, click Create Survey Now. This opens the full survey builder, where you can:
Edit or re‑word questions
Add/remove questions or logic
Apply branding and translations
Preview the respondent experience

Choose Copy an Existing Survey to reuse a template or paste your own questions
Follow the formatting rules (Question + Question Type + options)
Preview and select/unselect questions before creating
Click Create Survey Now to refine in the builder
